Dam- I was just about to load up the trailer and head down there, but now they have closed the border!!  but would not that be classed as an essential movement?

Yes we need a laugh, our world going for a “shit” in a hand basket- very quickly. Every one hunker down, and stay safe, we will get over this. Prayers to all

Hi,

Yeah! I have seven spare rolls on hand. My wife and I use one per week, so we're good for a while.

I got a wife and four daughters so I need to build a toilet paper mill. At this point I am about to go raid the paper mill in Calais.

Note: The dog, the cat, the bunny, the duck and even the darn goldfish are all female too! (But most do not use toilet paper).

I saw my cousin in the store the other day...wearing a mask, so I started to make fun of her. She said it was because she could not afford to get sick...then she walked around the store, picking up this and that.

The whole time I am thinking, 'and 10,000 people had their nasty hands all over some of that stuff, and you are thinking your little ole mask is going to keep you healthy?'

There is a .00045 chance of dying from the Black Swan so I am not sure what the big deal is?

Hi,

Both my wife and I had it already. Back in November. Hers lasted 8 days. Mine 10. Got better in time to load my muzzle for Thanksgiving. Our 19 year old pregnant granddaughter went with her other grandmother to England early December and then came home with it. Hers lasted 14 days. Baby came out all right two weeks ago.

Yeah, I am a great grandfather at age 58. ;)

The thing is a bit rougher than the usual flu. I was coughing up pencil erasers and had axle grease out my nose. So I can see where anyone with lung issues is going to be in big trouble.

Back then, the doctors weren't fussed. Go home and get over it they said. No treatment for this thing. But, they hadn't made the connection yet to China. I did. But, then, my electronics R+D consulting work puts me in contact with people who regularly go to China as that's where most of the parts come from. This thing went thru those folks starting back in September.

There are a lot of smaller electronics outfits going bankrupt about now as they had part supply issues back in December. I don't think I will have any consulting work for a year or more. Even the big electronics outfits are in for it. Apple for example. They are up to 11 with their iPhone but the latest one can get now is the 7. All made by Foxconn in China. The list goes on and on, but that will do to get the point across.

The current thing we're all trying to do is not get us all sick at one time. We all do have to get it, though. Only two ways to gain antibodies. A vaccine and getting it. And, there is no vaccine at this point. So, we're all stuck with having to get it.

Anyway, I now have more time to do all the gourd farm work since I don't have to squeeze it into the hours I am home.

And, I have toilet paper. T-6 rolls and counting. So, my crawlers are safe from having to be traded! :)

This has been around a very long time. If you read the back of a Lysol bottle, even one you bought years ago, it lists Covid as a specific illness it kills.

They are just trying to keep the hospitals from being flooded at once.

It really is not a big deal...

Hi,

Yeah, they used to call it the Asian Flu. But, the name change from Corona to COVID-19 is because this one is really not what they originally thought it was. I had a chat with a couple of doctors in Duke Hospital in Raleigh while my wife was getting back surgery a couple weeks ago. They best thinking now is this mutated and transferred from animal to human about a year ago. And, it has mutated into a second strain since.

This is pretty rough on the lungs, hence all the need for hospitals and ventilators. And, the need to slow the spread. I was coughing up hard bits, reminded me of pencil erasers. Sometimes it was enough to make me all out of breath. I don't have any lung issues. But, I can imagine being in real distress if I had. The stuff crystallizes in the lungs, so that is why the bits are hard.
