My covid news

Post by Lavoy » Thu Nov 19, 2020 7:16 pm

Well, unfortunately I have contracted covid. I am only functional for very short spurts during the day, so missing a lot of calls and emails. Bear with me, until I get a little more functional, I am pretty slow.

Sorry to hear that. Don't push and make it worse; take it easy and recover. Hoping the rest of the family is ok.
Wishing you a full and quick recovery.

Hi,

Man. That stinks. As I well know. I had it one year ago. Took me two weeks. My wife only had it for one week, so maybe you'll get lucky. The good news is I have been immune to it since as has she. And, at least the doctors will believe you when you say you have it. A year ago, they ignored all 300 of us who had it. And, we knew we had it as one of our coworkers came down with it first right after returning from a trip to China.

Thanks for all the well wishes. We are maintaining it seems like. Never been so damn dizzy, and headache all day long. Real tired of being in the house.

Better. Still substantially lacking in oomph, but able to eat, coughing is down significantly, I imagine it is just a gradual process.
Thanks,

Hi,

Yes, it is gradual. Lasts at least two weeks. I felt lucky last year that the Eat part returned just in time for Thanksgiving. :)

The good news was that I had built up immunity to it. So when the second strain arrived in February it never got bad and lasted only three days. And I haven't had it since.

Sounds like you are getting past it, which is great.

How are you doing? Hope the worst is behind you.

We are just about as isolated as we can get and still get something to eat now and then.

I am technically well past the point where I am "contagious". As far as being sick, not as much improvement as I would like, exceedingly frustrating. I have however coughed hard enough to exaggerate a 40 year old quarter horse injury to my rib cage, so that is exciting at least!

Sounds like I would really have fun with a 35 year old motorcycle wreck injury that included 5 broken ribs (3 shifted and overlapped) I can turn or twist just wrong and they let me know at times yet. At 80 years of age I am trying not to get the WU FLU.
