I would try touching base with a Case dealer, since they are "related" and come under Case now as far as I know. I am thinking they might say Hy Tran (Case's brand of Hy Gard) may be acceptable now, I've looked some but I haven't found that in writing yet. That would open up the aftermarket equivalents to Hy Tran/Hy Gard to you. Does your nephew's DB call for the same oil? If so what does he use? If I see something more, I'll let you know. Some 10W30 or 20W20 could top it off, for now, if you only need a little. I found one DB manual for a 855 that called for 10W30for cold weather.
