Have you noticed auction no. 290080475592 ? It is a 440IC/831 half disassembled just about as far across N. Dakota as you can get from you. I had never thought of taking a loader apart like that to get in to work on the engine.

Yes, I talked to him a couple of days ago. Sounds like it was his grandpa's or something like that.
It is probably a 14 hour round trip from here, not including fuel, food and loading times, so a pretty good haul.

Well it looks like you are goimg to be doing a little bit of travelling. Are your pans to repair it or part it out? Or have to wait to see it in person to decide? If you decide to part it out, what would you want for the complete seat assembly? Apparently my 440ICD/831 has the lowback seat plus the pan is rusted out. Shipping to 79525-2214.

Bryce,
Need to look at it first, but my guess is it will die. Need to find time to go out there, will take a day and a half pretty much.

It will not be here for at least another two weeks. Based on it being a 91 loader, I would guess that it will be small tranny. I have asked for the serial number, but have not gotten an answer, so will just have to wait until it gets here I guess.
