I got to thinking and wondering, is there a place or person who is familiar with all the smallest Deere two cylinder tractors/crawlers?
What is the difference between a 420C, 430C and a 440IC?
I know that the 440ICs were built at the same time as both the 420Cs and 430Cs and most 440ICs are painted yellow instead of green.

What is the difference between a 420T, 430T, 435T, and 440IT? Not worried about the differences in front ends, wide or narrow, etc.

Are all 435Ts built with the 2-53 Jimmy diesel? Are they closer to a 440IT or a 430T just with a diesel for power and just painted green?

Questions, questions...

420 and 430 are essentially the same thing, tractor or crawler, just running changes as they go up in years.
440 was a purpose built industrial crawler, it did share some components with the 420 and 430, kind of the same thing with the 440 wheel tractors except late gas, and all diesels.
All 435's were diesel, it is basically a twin to a 440ID, and late 440I except different sheetmetal and front end parts.
