2 pistons 2cranks 4conecter rods 1 motor

Post by digitup » Tue Dec 25, 2007 7:38 pm

Seasons best to all and your family's.Here is a two cylinder diesel with two cranks in it .Yep two pistons two cranks and four connecting rods .British and German engineered .I am wondering how long the gears between the cranks will last .These things have massive torque over two and a half times the rice rockets they ran against.Top end of only 4200 rpm and early tests rated 145HP and 160 foot pounds torque and it has been leaned of fuel a bit since early tests .Now you got to remember that two men could carry this motor easy. With counter rotating cranks you could set your coffee on the fuel tank while running and it will not shake off.Go to Neander motors British American flag then engine then function and look at those cranks .I am wondering how long those gears would last in heavy torque. It is the only weak spot I can see .Digitup.

Being as computer literate as a stump some times means I got to get the wife to pick and paste this stuff sorry about the info not in place These guys just got back to me last week they are still lookin for Canadian and American distributors I told them to get one with my name on it and pack it up the 2002 Heritage I never get my hands on on a good day any way.I love a Harley and will never sell it but the Diesel would really be something . they are suppose to get twice the fuel economy .I was also guaranteed a better ride than that specific model as well .Go to this down below .Digitup.

Hi,

Only 95k Euros. Cheap!

I think I'll stick with my ancient Naked Goldwings, though I'd love to have a diesel bike.

As I can pick up all the Old Gold I want for under $1k dollars each, I can go thru a lot of them for the price of one of these. :P

Thanks for sharing. My co-worker's dad is a retired mechanical engineer who developed diesel engines over his entire career. I'll forward on and see what his dad has to say about the design.

Someone stayed up nights thinking up that design up though .I would like to see how smooth that engine realty runs.I thought you would still have some up and down movement with the piston throw ? Wonder if they would send one over for us to try out .In the spring of course .I am wondering about the gears between the cranks but I guess they are in a oil bath .And yes the $ are a bit much so the Harley is not for sale yet .If I bought one of those I would be living in the shop for a few hours just before the old girl got me committed! Look at the bright side, with the mileage that the diesel bike would get, you could be half way across the state before you had to fuel up, at least the old lady would have look hard to find you. Maybe the nice men at your new home would let you have a BLACK leather sleeveless coat instead of white!?!?!?

And a spot to park the bike I doubt it !!She is still upset about a new drainage plow .It has been working so I can throw my hat in the house and she hasn't said any thing till little brother announced the cost to her at Christmas . I nearly got committed then .I won't need a tax wright off for a year or two[$686, 000 ] But it has all the toys even GPS grade and steering so you don't need the laser for level and the computer will even tell you the depth of that hole on the other side of the hill without surveying and the most efficient way to drain it [after all these years and I need a computer to show me ] .All I would not need is an other dam motorcycle!!.She can drive faster pissed off than I can scared .And no one from my shop or you guys wouldn't get me out I think the twin crank is something though It would be such a smooth ride to the nut house any way!!.Digitup.
