This one goes out to older mechanics or at least someone who's worked on older engines. I picked up seals for my 62 292 and when you put them on the valve stem, they don't grab the embossing at the valve guide. Is this how they're intended to work? This is my first Y-block and it's different than the GM's I've worked on. Anyone dealt with this? Thanks for any info.
