1500 member meeting

Post by Lavoy » Tue Dec 16, 2008 6:35 pm

Yeah, I know we keep talking about it, but we are creeping up on 1500 members, and have over 15,000 posts. Sooner or later, we are going to have to have a meeting of the crawler afflicted!?!?!?!?!? Anybody vote for Hawaii?

Plenty of white-heat here, actually a heat wave, should be in the mid teens today.

Anybody notice how fast 1500 is creeping up? Must be 10 new members in the last week alone.

The number of members is the first thing I look at each time I log on, just curiosity I guess.
Is there any way to access the complete member list? The only way I would know to send a member a PM is to look for a posting they have made and click on the "PM" button, must be a simpler way.

There is, but only myself and Jeremy can see it. It is more of a spam issue, so in case I miss one, they can not send mass e-mails to all the members. Or, they can not harvest the e-mails and sell them to every porn and Viagara site on the net.

Seems like most of the new members have their crawlers in the woods of northern Michigan. People must be getting ready for our new economy and getting back to working dirt and building encampments. This area has the highest unemployment in the state that has the highest unemployment in the nation. Interesting.

We have needs, you know...

Just kidding! Keep up the good fight.

I'm going to start stockpiling canned food and ammo and building the wall around my secret compound this summer...

We are very, very close. Today we are at 1,497 members but well over 15,000 posts (16,550 and counting to be exact). I'm creeping up on 500 posts!

Have you decided where the meeting is yet?

Have not put a whole lot of thought into it. The three possible places I had thought of would be the LeSeuer, MN swap meet in April, but that is creeping up pretty fast, the Two Cylinder Expo in IA, or the Berrien Springs Two Cylinder show in MI. I think the last two are in June or July. Just talked to a guy last night that wanted me to go to the Berrien Springs show if we could. Not sure if I can make it to Expo this year or not, we'll see.
