We should start a club. Maybe we can assemble a team of "scientists" to convince the world that crawler restoration requires research funding for public wellbeing, which we can then spend on beer.

Grand Forks broke their record two nights ago, -38, we were only -28 the same night, so not sure what they had last night if we went below 30. International Falls, MN usually is 10 degrees or better colder than we are on these cold snaps, so must have been chilly up there.

We have a meeting tomorrow night for our township to get some info on what to expect. We "should" be fine right where I am, we are in a diversion project. BUT, a much larger than normal share of the water is coming down the river by me, instead of the Red River, so that is an uncertainty. They are talking fairly high chances of 40 feet on the Red, that will break the record, and will be difficult to fight. They started Friday morning on making sandbags, they are going to make up 2.3 million bags for the city and county, not including all of the privately made bags.
Everything with an engine started running 24/7 a few days ago. There are probably 20 hoes, 10 dozers, and who knows how many trucks running two miles or less from me. I saw one of the new dikes last night, it is running right down a field road, and is at least 8-10 feet high. When they get it done, they will come right down the city street with it to the interstate.
We have a late Winter storm coming tomorrow, maybe late tonight, up to 3" of rain over the next 3 days.
I talked to a pilot Friday night that has been flying local government officials up and down the valley looking at the water levels. The comment he made to me was if it doesn't rain, all this was a waste of time. If it does rain, we're all f***ed!
I've been going balls to the wall on the new 350 trying to get it up and going, I already have 3 friends that we might have to take their yards and dike their houses. If it gets that bad here, that is likely what I will do as well.
So, needless to say, I am a little slow on parts shipments this week.

If you could just find a way to pipe a little of that water down this way we would be VERY appreciative. A couple weeks ago we got nearly 2 inches of rain, the first since October. I think we are either in severe or extreme drought and it is a lot worse in central Texas.

You can have it, but you gotta take over 20 feet of it. They just jumped the crest again, and it is still raining.
