I suffer from having a yellow John Deere....I love the color green...
Therefore is it immoral to paint a yellow JD green? Will I burn in Hades?
Should I ask my doctor for antianxiety drugs to over come this depression? Alas life is not fair...My tongue is firmly planted in my cheek.

The simplest solution is to go buy another crawler, or two, or three, or........................................... that is green in color to satisfy your desires. Barring that, paint the one you have green. I did that to my 3 roller 40 many years ago.
Trust me, in the way of modifications, that would be the absolute slightest modification I have seen done to these poor old girls.

Interesting. I have a JD 420W industrial that was yellow and has been green since at least 1969. I am also contemplating a repaint. Why don't you go first?

Everyone knows yellow JD crawlers work faster and get more done than green ones.

The person who owned my 420 must have agreed with you on working faster. It was painted green but now has a yellow coat over it. Every time I wash it more of the yellow paint comes off and the green comes through. I may not even have to repaint it green at this rate
