Lavoy good point about the pine....but we don't have pine. They have found too that wood chips do add to the soil (from what they are teaching the wife in college right now). I thought she was nuts when she told me. Guess I'll find out.

Interesting thread. In North Idaho a mill will not accept logs until a logger presents a standard form contract from the landowner stating location and permission to log. It keeps people from stealing logs from unattended land. The mill then sends to the owner a computer printed statement of every log with its type, size and money value assessed, along with a check for his part. A typical contract for a small job gives the logger 40 to 50% and he pays the hauler from his cut. !0% is withheld until a state inspector views the finished acreage assuring slash is cleaned up and water runoff is properly managed.

Stay away from the outfits that offer to do your site for free. The catch is you have to have them host it and they charge a arm and leg for it.\, and sites tend to be to slick for my taste.

Doesn't have to cost a lot. I found a local company that did the site for $165 U.S. and hosts it for $9 a month, including domain name. And I can add pages and change things at no extra cost and the site isn't over done. I figure since I work in a 50 mile radius I wanted something that has a local feel to it, which we got.

And it works, it has helped us get more jobs, in this economy you need any edge you can get.

Keep it simple and on message and tailor it to your customer base.

When you get a site up post a link so we can check it out.
