Post by Crawlerbrad » Wed Sep 01, 2010 2:27 pm

yeah i was looking at a farmall messageboard and someone a while ago was talking about it being on the left brake linkage cover. but i dont see a cover over the linkage and then someone said that it would be stamped on the block under the # 1 sparkplug. has anybody heard of this? i do see a number on the block but can not kame it out totally because of the oil filter. just was sondering if that is a good number. thanks

Should be on a tag on the bell housing. The # on the engine can be used to ID it IF it's the original engine. IH shipped the engines to the factory back in the day and then pulled out to install. They didn't pull the engines in order so that # may be a tad off too.

Farmall B

Hello - There should be a ID plate under the seat on the left seat bracket on the inside, facing the toward the right. Here's a great Farmall (and others) tracktor link.

I'm looking for a super C with a wide front end - if anyone knows of one.
