I used the Rock Rake on the 3-point to smooth out some areas in the drive way the other day ( sorry, I didn't take any photos ).
Now I need to get the roller out and pack the gravel back down but there isn't a hitch on the back of the tractor.
So I decided to make up one of those hitches that mount on the 3-point.
The crossbar is made out of 2 inch angle iron with 5/8 diameter pins welded on each end.
A 1/4 x 2 inch flat bar is welded on top for the hitch ball to mount on.
The upright support bar is made out of a piece of 1-3/4 inch square tube.
Here's the finished hitch mounted on the 3-point.
The back side of the angle iron cross bar has a piece of flat steel welded to it to form a triangular shape for strength.
There is a half round notch machined out of the bottom of the upright support to allow any water to drain out.
The hitch allows good clearance for making sharp turns.
The roller is getting filled and then I can run it over the drive.

I built that roller about 25 years ago and I don't remember what the tank is from.
I think it holds around 80 gallons so that would be somewhere around 560 pounds when full.
It does a good job of packing things down.
Originally, I had intended to paint it the same gray as the tractor but there wasn't any paint left and I wasn't going to drive 25 miles to town for just a can of paint.
The only cans that felt like they had enough paint in them were red, blue & yellow.
Last year I built this cart So Marie could ride with me when I'm driving the Ridemaster around at the tractor shows.
It was painted yellow because I had a lot left over from painting the Ridemaster wheels.
With this 3-point hitch, I can also tow the cart behind the R/T so I painted the hitch yellow to match the cart.
I kind of like the color and I'm thinking of painting the back blade and rock rake yellow also.
