My favourite tool in the winter that I can carry.......
This year like most we get plenty of cold dry snow and this backpack blower saves me more work than can be imagined. Awesome with leaves and for cleaning the shop, vehicles (never vacuum again, done in 60 seconds), fallen apples or most anything I have to sweep or rake.... but for snow it is amazing as long as it is dry and not to deep.
If you have not discovered them yet, check the video...click anywhere on the photo below, I did all the sidewalks, vehicles and some of the driveway in 15 minutes and never broke a sweat! My son shoveled some, but did not need to.....
I buy the biggest ones I can find. I have two Stihl 600's, one at home and one at work, and gave my Dad and Father in law each one for Fathers day. The older you are, I think the more you like them.
If anyone knows of a more powerful model let me know. The one in the photo is at least 5 years old and must be near worn out. So I am ready to buy another. Still runs OK though, and has real good power!

I've wondered about using a blower- usually our snows in Kansas City are pretty wet so not amenable to blowing but the one we got last week was pretty dry. I'll have to give it a try sometime.

The day mine quits and can't be fixed is the same day that I will be getting a new one! On the weekend I cleaned the shop with it, (again) and it is awesome for getting the sticks and branches out of the gravel driveway. My usual routine when we arrive at the cabin is to use the blower to remove all the spider webs, clear the decks of tree litter and blow the sand and litter off the pontoon boat. less than 10 min. total, and I am good to go!
