We have rocks, more nuisance rocks than anything, got lots of practice picking them when I was younger.

Looks like that nice move made it a little easier to get off of it.
When I did things like that my dad used to tell me , "Son, it looks like you zigged when you should have zagged!"

It is rated for 48" deep, up to 16" wide. This one has the 14" teeth in it. Didn't seem to me like we were getting 48" deep, had a couple inches of ram left.
We brought a backhoe out there, was going to dig under the LH track to try and level it out. I tried it in low gear, and it was trying to get out, so pulled a little with the backhoe as I was going, and it drove right out.

Looks like fairly good going if you don't back into your previously dug hole Some of my area is rock free and other is total rocks.I sold a drainage plow into that neck of the woods and he hasn't many rock either he was getting $1.60 a foot plus tile and that old Allis could install 220 feet a minute[88 feet a minute is 1 mile per hour].When we ran the old trenchers it was nice to trench rather then backhoe a drain .I was going to see if you wanted a laser control for that unit but I have no 6 volt controls around I have several 12 and 24 volt on board systems though! .Digitup.

Aw, heck. The innards of that laser level probably runs on 5 volts, anyway. A little mod here and there, and we can make it work!

So, we can laser up that puppy!

Glad to hear that the unsticking was almost as easy as the sticking.

I could use that thing around here right about now. The dry summer has the uphill neighbor wanting to run an irrigation line from his pond on top of the hill down here to the river valley for running soaker hoses in the garden.

We're making it right now, but using a backhoe. It works, but it's a fairly slow process (although much better than using a shovel!) That trencher would be ideal!

Ya Lavoy you just cant get through the trencher operators school of hard knocks without dropping it in it's own hole a couple of times.I wasn't very old when I dumped a Speicher 600 trencher in a trench like that and worked at it for a while till she crawled out .Things were going good till the trench wall gave way and gravity took over .To this day I don't get too worked up no matter how deep a hole you get into just keep working at it .It always helps if you got something around that can pull you out .That old trencher is a real classic I don't think you will find many like that I have seen one on a Oliver OC3 years ago .Digitup.

I have only see one other one on a Deere, identical to this one, and that is 10 years ago or so.
