Saved a 440

Post by jackhdn » Mon Mar 21, 2016 6:42 am

Brought home a sad 440 this weekend. Tried to buy it for parts 10 years ago but the guy was going to fix it...Tried him again this winter and he said yes. Pretty beat but it has some good parts on it. Supposed to have a rebuilt reverser before the engine got stuck years ago. Clutches are completely stuck and rusty.

Hi,

Well, it looks better than many I have seen. And, the engine is already out. That's a time saver. ;)

Its not terrible but not good either. Nose is cracked. Dash cracked. Hood destroyed. Tracks are not bad but the track frames are pretty bad. For just a short while I considered fixing it before I decided best to harvest parts from it.
