That is the one that was on the Mecum Auction. That's my old crawler. I will bet that if you look at the bolt heads on the track pad bolts, the pyramids stamped into the bolt heads all point in the same direction.

Who did restoration though ?

No, sold him the crawler and then restored it for him.
That restoration started out as an empty transmission case, which every restoration I have ever done does, and which any restoration on these has to, as that is your first LEGO block so to speak.
EVERY single mechanical component on that crawler was either correctly completely rebuilt, or replaced with new. EVERY piece of that crawler was sandblasted, primed and painted one piece at a time by a local professional paint shop, other than the small pieces I did here. I scrimped on NOTHING on that crawler. My buddy is quite specific on how any of his work is done, and that crawler reflects it. Any bolts not available in clear zinc I sent away and had re-plated. Other than maybe the 2 studs in the front of the transmission case, every bolt on the entire crawler has been replaced.
Every adjustment piece inside of the tool carrier arms was machined from bar or shaft stock by a professional machinist (not me).
It would take a couple pages to list all the work that was done. In my opinion, other than the steel is old, or the gears might be original, that crawler is better than the day it left Deere due to being hand built over a period of a few hundred hours.
It does not have a $20,000 smooth as glass show car paint job (which it never left the factory with either), but you could put that crawler in the dirt and make a living with it 7 days a week without a problem.
I had considered going down to the sale and brining it back home, but time didn't allow. At least I know where it is.

Well at least what I believed to be true based on what I saw is actually 100% verifiable by the man that did it . Very good to know . Did this fella pass away ? That’s the only thing I neglected to get answered ? Oh one other thing , what was on carrier when you had it ? Unfortunately I got an empty carrier and have wondered ever since what happened to blade / Rear implement that would have been with it . I do have a cultivator made for the carrier I plan to mate with it and display in the rear position same as when I got it . What year did you complete this machine lavoy?

No, didn't pass away, other circumstances.
I built a MC100 dozer blade, with DZ100 rear dozed adapters to make it into a box scraper.
In the last 10 years or so.
