everybody is posting pics of their crawlers at work. well... don't trust my wife with a camera... don't trust my son as far as i could throw him... plus he lives two states away.
taken last tuesday. this is one of my burn piles (behind the crawler). mostly fir stumps. not too bad till you get three or four tangled together.
this is an alder root ball i took out this afternoon. three, maybe three and a half feet in diameter.
this is the hole it came out of. had to excavate all the way around, bucket wide and bucket deep.
shortly afterward i blew the main hydraulic line second time in two weeks. in the morning i'm gonna take twelve feet of three quarter inch hose and maybe whup some sense back into the fool that "staked his reputation on it"
not as bad as yesterday though. did i forget to mention i don't have a rear skid plate (yet). manage to snag my return line on a big root. pulled it loose and squirted a gallon of hot oil in my lap. one more leak and i become a superfund site.
