After 2 coats of paint, rebuilt loader linkage and cylinders it statred to look like a bulldozer again!

The engine definitley looks better in the dozer than out

I found a ripper for it too, i dont think ill use it much but its a good counterweight and a nice bumper too :D

Image

This is the best pic of the machine in my opinion (i dont know if those CAT bolts will hold up though  )

But hopefully this will be my most common view :D

Tell me what you guys think. Am i the only nut out there whod rebuild something this new? I used to run one of these in high school and that little machine earned my respect. When i came across this guy in such disrepair i figured the least i could do was to restore it to the way it should be.

I'd have to say it looks like you did a heck of a nice job on the restoration. Good work! It's a really nice looking 350.

If 25 years is the criteria, it is already an antique. Even if it isn't, who cares, it's yours and you did it. Of course, I would do it too, so maybe I am prejudiced.

hi,

I always get confused by what 'antique' means. Sometimes I hear 25 years, others 100 years, and then just about every 5 years in between the two! ;)

So, I go by my age. If it's older than me, it's a 'classic' if it's twice as old as me it's an 'antique', and if it's younger then me, it's 'newfangled'! :P

well according to the Secratery of State, you can plate a vehicle with a antique plate as long as it is over 25 years old, but that is a "limited" driving plate.

Hi
Thanks for all of the replies. Im pretty sure the machine is a 77 so its an even 30 now. Lavoy youre not prejudiced, you just have good taste :P It didnt matter how old the machine was these little guys have character (at least to me) and that in itself makes it worth restoring. And Toivo youre exactly right, it looks nice now (thats why i took pictures :D ) but itll look better playing in the dirt. Its kinda wet here now so i might have to wait till spring to play, unless we get alot of snow that is.

VERY nice!!! After all that work, I'd have to close my eyes and grit my teeth the first time I got it dirty. After that's over with, it's a work tractor
