This is the hitch/pto that I picked up with a bunch of other stuff at auction.

Show Off! Nice find!

Is the PTO shaft splined? If so, what size and how many splines? Are there two bearings in the pto shaft housing?

CCWKen, the trans. end of the shaft has 21 splines, and has a sleeve coupler on it, roughly the same dia. as the implement end. There is one bearing in the casting.

Ken,
What are you looking for as far as PTO?

All I really need is the output shaft and housing. (I think) Am I correct in assuming that all I need to do is remove the "cap" and install the shaft/housing? The pto shifter is in place but I've never checked to see if it did anything yet.

I was surprised at the lengh of the shaft. (In Peter's pic) Too blurry to tell but is the long narrow part just a pilot? I was going to make a machined weldment for the bearing housing and make a shaft but I haven't been able to locate specs on the shaft. Just blury pictures and people that want to $ell the whole kit.

I forgot to ask, are you working on a 350? If so, the shaft in the pic is the right style.
