SC Case

Post by Randynscottsboro » Fri Mar 13, 2009 7:17 pm

Going to Mississippi tomorrow to pick up a 1952 SC Case, just like the one I grew up climbing on and later learning to drive. I drove that tractor a million miles before I was ever allowed to start it. Hell it is only one year older than me. I am not sure if it is a little touch of childhood or just part of the rememberance of my father. Either case, I am happy to give it a home here.

Randy, you're not alone in looking for ways to help remember a lost parent, I find myself doing similar things.

Congrats on the new tractor!

Got it home, only a 985 miles in one day and I did sleep in this morning. One really neat thing was when I was looking it over, there was a birds nest in the lower right rear side of the radiator. The tractor we had would always have one in the same location every year and I would watch it daily till the birds hatched. Something I have thought of for 40 some years.
A few things to fix, all minor and some paint and I'll be ready to get into trouble remembering to pull the hand clutch instead of stomping the left brake.

Randy,
Don't know what you need for parts, but I have tractor parts as well.
