another 1010 project
bought first 1010 4 or 5 years ago, not running previous owner had head
done, new deck plate n pistons, knew i could get her running (have a 2010 wheel tractor) was ez plug wires were on as if dist turned clockwiise.
then the bad news couldnt relesae clutch?. tear it down, wasnt two bad,i had never worked on a crawler befour,many wheel tractors though.
wish i had pics befour i started. anyway tranny case was split/cracked
gonna guess it froze ,whoever ran the machine untill the pinion wore farenough into the case it would no longer turn the ring gear,TOAST.
local bone yard wanted 1200 for a tranny about what i paid for the 1010.
putterd with it ,this spring bought parts 1010 on ebay(650)drug it home
DRUG wonder what it weighs? coupel more pics gonna call it day

I bought the rear assembly from a 2010 crawler this spring (transmission, steering clutch housings, and final drives), and we estimated it to weigh somewhere around 2500 to 3000 pounds. That should give you an idea, although you had the trackframes in your pics which would add even more weight.
