I tried idling it down, no real effect. The main problem is rain, and buckets that are not shined up. If it had a few hours use in sand, it would not be an issue, but not enough sand in my area to do that.

I heard about a guy that backed in to his own freshly dug trench. It stopped putting dirt back in the hole.

Yes, but if he had had enough dirt back down the hole, the crawler could not have fallen in, so maybe it is a built in safety mechanism!??!?!?!

That is too funny!!!!
The Heller Trencher with "autofill" attachment. (No need for a blade on the crawler, it fills it's own hole)

Hi,

Personally, I think the 'auto-fill' function comes about naturally from sitting sideways on the thing. The operator can't tell if he's coming or going! :P

later!

That is the most accurate thing ever said on this board, but it has nothing to do with seating position!

Well there ya go he's just along for the ride .I get the same thing Lavoy several years ago we had a rented 90 horse skid steer and the crew worked around a large rock till they were near done the job .In enters the boss [or so I like to think at times]gets on the skid steer and heads right for the rock .I got the rock off the job and had the area leveled up in minuets with two flat tires when done though .As I was doing the job some one walked up and talked to the men I saw the men laugh like crazy then he left .When I parked the skid steer and got out I asked who was he and what did he want ?..After some silence they said Well he is the job site super and he wanted to know who the idiot was on the skid steer!! they all laughed but I moved the unmovable rock!!.They just never show enough respect for a good operator that's all.Digitup.
