My 420C with JD 90 Loader

Post by DiggerLarry » Fri Apr 22, 2005 12:11 pm

I just got this a couple of months ago. If not had much time to work on it yet. It's a 57 420C with a late 420/430 engine.

I hope to add one of those to my stable some day. Do you plan to restore it? Or is it a work tractor.

It will be restored, one day.....

I use it, if I need it. I used it cleaning out a fencerow just last week but it's not really a work machine. I would like to find a ripper for the back. That would really make it complete.

I'm a 40 guy but, like you, wanted a 420 (I love that yellow on the hood). I looked for one a couple of years before I found one like I wanted and in decent shape mechanically. It is a serial number 100XXX and mechanically it's not too bad. Not so pretty right now though. But with the help of all the experts on this board, I'm sure I'll "Get 'er done".

I don't think it looks to bad it isn't all painted up or anything but it don't look like it is wore out like most of them. you will like this much better than a 40. I'm sure Lavoy can fix you up with a ripper
