One nice crawler! This thread will give us some nice crawler pics in the next few weeks. Unfortunately for me, the 440 is appart. I won't put any iron in the snow this winter... I'll have some for next spring....I guess!

350B Pushing Snow in Wildwood, Alberta
We just finished putting the finishing touches on a 350B with an outside mount dozer today. Sorry no picks, but it did push some snow today.
We bought it from an older sawmiller, it had a small engine fire and basically just burnt the wiring under the good. My dad had freshened up the undercarriage last winter with good used, adjusted the cluches and fixed the track tighteners plus replaced the burnt wiring, alternator, fuel lines. We didn't have time this summer to mess with it, but now since freeze up we can get back working some some deeres.
I ended up using the dozer blade and lift cylinders on my 2010. I picked a none-tilter out of the pile and installed. Had a hell of a time finding some cyclinders, and went thru a few installs until we found some that were good, although we had to repack one with the guts out of a shorter dozer cylinder off a 440 log skidder.
Nice litte crawler and runs and pushes well. My dad wanted to add it to the collection, which is getting really out of hand, so I think I will be listing it on KIJIJI once I get some pictures next weekend.
Next two projects are 350C, 1 widepad with a bad reverser and 1 narrow pad with a bad engine.

Well sad to say that for the first time in over 20 years I wont have a crawler on the farm. Sold my 550 to a friend to put a down payment on a JD 6420. Heres some pics from the March dumping. I maintain almost a mile of road for a gentleman, and the 3ft of snow we received was just too much for my 1ton. I spent over 5hrs on the 450B pushing the banks back.

If your running it on the 420, I would put the pto on highspeed and turn that blower up. My blower I tried to run at 460 rpm. It was fine on the light stuff, but get into deep stuff and I was breaking chains or sheer pins left and right.

that loader mount looks nice. what i have is a old arps vee type blower. i is not the most desirable blower in the world, but last couple years it been nice. better than nothing.
i live 2 miles away from an auction yard, the lot is littered now with old blowers of all types. there trucked in from all over. 3 years ago, you used to buy a 7ft blower for 3-500 bucks. now you cant touch one for 1500 and it looks like a ton of bricks been run though it. so im happy with the 40 dollar arps blower

My blower was for a 3 point hitch. It was converted before me to run with hydraulics. I have used them on back of tractors with a 3 point hitch. Alas with a 1000 foor driveway its a real pain in the neck to be looking over your shoulder and backing up.
The common thing I see is some one buying the blower one year and next spring getting rid of it as they are a pain to use and maintain. At 540 rpm max they wont turn enough for the demos you see online. The demos show 3foot snow banks and a tractor shooting the snow some 40 feet out. Yeah right.
