Looks like my 2010AG Crawler is going to be sold, along with my neighbors 1010AG...
I know I am going to regret getting rid of this old girl, I just dont have the time to dig into it, right now.

Sorry to hear that- those ag crawlers are pretty cool. I can't remember-did yours have a 3-point hitch? i
(1) JD Straight 450 crawler dozer with manual outside blade; (2) JD 2010 diesel crawler loaders; (1) JD 2010 diesel dozer with hydraulic 6-way blade; (2) Model 50 backhoe attachments, misc. other construction equipment

Do you think I am selling it for too cheap? ($4500) It doesn't have an injector motor was rebuilt years ago but has sat since only week or so running on new rebuild. looks like clutches need some work, not sure havent dug into it. Everything is there its all original, tracks and sprockets are in perfect shape no wear at all. Hour meter say about 5,000 hours. This old girl is extremely rare I sure would like to fix it up, but I don't even have a shop right now, have to build one. I think I am getting sellers "cold feet". Wouldnt take much to get her running but don't know about the steering yet.
Your thoughts would help

You will likely not find another one, especially in that shape at that price. Your buyer is just hoping he can get this thing before you wake up to realize what you really have.
$4,500 will not buy much at all these days. Little 440Cs in decent shape will bring that or better any day. And they are certainly not as rare as an AG crawler.
If you do not have his money, you can call off the deal. It may make him mad, but the buyer can do the same thing if they choose to.
All is fair in love and war!!
Good luck, I hope you keep it, even save it to work on down the road.

I guess I would only see two reasons to sell- one, if you need the money and two, if you don't have the space to store it. If neither is the case, then I would personally wait to sell until you have more time to think about it and the economy is a little better.bingles wrote: I know I am going to regret getting rid of this old girl, I just dont have the time to dig into it, right now.
I think that for a normal 2010 crawler without dozer blade or loader and with the condition you mention, the asking price is at least reasonable but maybe a little low. You'll never get out what you put into it, but new undercarriage is worth a lot since some parts are unavailable and similarly rebuilt engines are not cheap either. The fact that it is an ag crawler probably adds some additional to the value, but not sure how much that would be.
If I were the owner of your crawler with the condition as described, I don't think I would ask less than $6K. However I have the space and money that it wouldn't matter to me if it sat a while.

excellent advice guys, thanks! The I told buyer I wanting to keep it, he is coming up anyways, hope I don't get talked out of it.
He is buying my neighbors 1010AG gasser.
I have plenty of room so space isn't an issue.
I guess everything is for sale at right price thou. $4500 is just too low. Thanks again for the advice.
