Angle Dozer On Loader Machines

Post by JWB Contracting » Sat Dec 03, 2011 11:46 pm

Here are some pictures of the dozers that we have built for our two 350C widepads. Very handy units which we have had in service since the early 80's. We cannot find anything any better for our natural gas utility construction business, the 450C widepad and the 450G narrow pad dozer hoes sit at home while the pair of 350C are out working.

All the functions of a 6 way dozer, plus the capability of hauling our rolls of plastic pipe down the right of way. Plus with the dozer higher in the air, you can push a much larger tree over. We made it thru our summer time only construction season with out any major repairs, worst was a swing cylinder on the 450C and a collapsed hydraulic line on one of the 350Cs.

We don't really worry about paint or cosmetics, but all are in excellent mechanical condition and continue to out perform competitors smaller crawlers. I know one machine will be getting a new set of rails as they are starting to get snakey.

Also shown is our 450C loader cat, we mounted a snorkel on the bucket for lifting the larger rolls of 3" plastic as we needed extra lift. Was used last to pull the dead 350C dozer machine that we aquired a few weeks ago.

Wide Tracks

Post by JWB Contracting » Wed Dec 14, 2011 6:41 pm

These are 33" steel factory widepads cut down to 30" to fit on a loader machine.

Pardee Equipment came out and took pictures in about 1980. I guess he was the first one in this area to install a wide track kit on a loader machine.

Traction is fairly good on ice as it is a fairly heavy machine with the dozer and backhoe attachement. We do not put ice lugs on as we we use our narrow pad machine for pushing snow in the winter and do not do any "for hire" work with them in the winter anymore.
