Looking great!! Keep the pics coming.

Very handy work stand, did you build it?

Who can keep a shop that clean and organized but still turn out good work?

Yeah well you should have seen the shop a week ago, lucky if you could find the floor. You still can't see the bench, but once in a great while, I get on a tear and nothing else gets done until the shop is at least a little cleaner.
Yes, I built the stand a few years ago. I am tired of laying on the floor to work on stuff. Plus, I can move it around for easier acces to either end, to clean the shop when I actually clean, or even roll it outside to wash the dust off.
It's nice to be spending more shop time now. There was actually a 430 in there too, but it is done and gone, couldn't post pics, just found the camera in one of the 300 boxes of junk not long ago.
The engine for this one is done, but needs to be dry ice blasted to get some rust off prior to painting. Hope to have the new reproduction seat bases done today or tomorrow, so then can get one painted for this crawler and seat and hyd controls can go on.
Lots of work left to do, but gaining.

Yes, but not going that far away, less than 100 miles from me.
When it is done, it it will have NOS 12" track pads, MC1000 tool carrier, with DZ100 rear dozer (box scraper) attachment, and NOS orchard exhaust attachment.

Thanks, now that I am back working on it, it is getting kind of fun to see it coming together.
I suggested to the owner that instead of putting the blade on front like you always see, we put the box scraper on the rear, you don't see many of them.

Lavoy,

I do not think I have seen one with a box blade on the rear. Keep the pics coming!

Original rollers, but they came off of a crawler that we believe had a few hundred hours if that, they show zero wear.
This crawler was originally my brothers and mine, so over a period of 5-10 years, I ratholed every nice part I came upon from parts crawlers, and saved them for this one. I had about a 4' square 3' high crate full of new, rebuilt, and NOS parts as well as all of the impossible to find used stuff needed for this crawler. Unfortunately, I do not get to work on my own stuff much, so we sold the crawler to a friend of mine a couple years ago. I am just now getting really going on the restoration. The crawler was completely broken down, and some components already rebuilt when we sold it, just not enough time to finish when it is your own stuff.

I'm still amazed at the detail. It is something how long it takes to do one and do it correctly. I've been on mine pretty solid for 2 years now and didn't figure it'd take this long.
Looks like the starter on the one your doing would be interesting to pull if you had to. Not much space there for it to slide back out of the bellhousing.

Several (4, I think) bolts to remove the battery box and there is open access to remove the starter.
It is easier than removing the one on the 440 ICD when tank and everything is in place.
