I was determined to move the 440ICD yesterday. The nose was lifted in to place and bolted on. The 6 way blade was installed, and well...........
I was so excited I did not think about getting video. But the pics tell the story.

Once it's running nice your tracks are on back words .Always lead with the grouser on the track pad It will run like that but it takes a lot more power and wears faster .Looks good though damn I wish I had the time to fix one up I keep pulling the old crawlers in the old shop and parking them .Some day I will start on the old Deere's I keep threatening the mechanics that when they have spare time I am going to get them busy on the old stuff .The youngest mechanic has done some work and has a chance to get several running that weren't at this point a2010 a 430 and a 440 are running nice.even the clutches are set on the 40c it is running like a charm .But as usual I have little time to work on the old iron .Digitup.

Digitup,
You know that I always appreciate and respect your input, you are a very valuable asset to this site.
You would not believe how many times people have pointed out the tracks are on backwards after I began to post pics of the rebuild.
I checked it over, and actually the crawler is on backwards. The tracks are on right.
Changing the tracks is one of the first next steps. I have another set of 440 tracks. My plan is to drive it on to those tracks, reverse my tracks, and then back it on the tracks and pin them back on.
Do you know of a better or easier way?
Thanks,
Chuck W.
