Hello Everyone,
Thanks to everyone who has helped me get this far! I've turned the corner and have begun to put my 1959 440IC back together. What a wonderful feeling to be 'constructive' rather than 'destructive'!!!
I've posted some photos of the disassebmly process at
http://web.mit.edu/sewell/Public/jd440i ... r%20Apart/
If you click on the 'date modified' tab in your browser window they will roughly display according to their sequence in the disassembly.
I've only reassembled the track frames and rollers but this and future pictures will be posted to
http://web.mit.edu/sewell/Public/jd440i ... 0Together/
I'm waiting for all the big castings to come back from the sand blaster!
Best wishes,
Scott

Scott,
Glad to hear you're on the assembly side of the project. Did you ever manage to separate that crossmember? BTW the pictures are awesome! Good luck on your assembly.
