Just found this pic on the camera of the 2 440's that came in a while ago. The power 6 way has a tilt seat to match the tilt dozer.

nice added option with the tilt seat. Looks like it'd be much easier to get on and off of.
Why are there so many different center sections of the grille on the 440? The two pictured are different and both are different than what's on mine.

Lavoy would be the final word on any of this but I only know of two front grills.
The cross hatch style and the later one with round holes and 3 light holes.

The grille on the 6 way is correct for later crawler, the front grille is home made.

I figured the 3 hole one was correct. That's what I had seen in the parts book.
My center is a very heavy crosshatch steel. Looks like the same material that is sometimes put over a floor drain trough or something. Kind of hard to explain. No large holes for lights though.

The cross hatch that you describe is what is on them in the original manuals and sales brochures. The other one is a plate with many small holes and 3 larger holes for lights.
