Grousers look great, I would concur with Ken, probably need pins and bushings or rails, and sprockets judging by the elongation of the sprocket, and how far the front idler is out.

Around here that dozer with newer undercarriage parts could go for 12,000 and you would be lucky to get the winch!
I think you did OK. You might get to do some seat time before you have to change anything, but, good idea to measure everything up so you know when to stop before one problem leads to another.
What projects do you plan on doing with it when it gets home?

I need to replace the throttle cable. stiff as a Harvard neck.
the blade linkage is also stiff.
where is a good place to buy parts for these withour spending my life savings
i plan on removing some trees, cleaning a fence line or six, and reshaping a drainage gulley that will become a lake after my cival engineer daughter gets done with the specs.
and i get me a motor scraper.

That looks a lot like my 450. I paid about the same but didn't get that sweet root rake. I've been looking for a root rake and a fairlead (or arch) for my mine for years.

That company just makes generic control cables and it ain't like they're competing with any of their resellers with the high markup they charge if you buy a single cable from them instead of a quantity (150% markup)? Maybe Lavoy is reselling them now, but when I was looking for one he didn't have them. But yes, buy from Lavoy if he has them. I've mentioned this company a few times in the tech support forums and haven't gotten yelled at yet, but maybe Lavoy just didn't notice or was being nice

I have requested info from Lavoy, I as well have contacted a friend of mine that sells flex cables, we'll see.
but back to the Dozer, I fixed the no start problem before I took it off the trailer when I got home to my tools. the nuetral safety switch wiring was damaged, repaired, fired right up. runs like a striped ape.
the root rake is a friggin monster.
I checked my winch. it runs, but had a blown hyd oil hose, no oil in winch, I am going to fix the hose, fill the unit, and test it out, but I have a couple questions.
do the PTO's run on these dozers all the time?, if not, how do I shift it in and out.
now before someone takes off on a rabbit trail, I know how to shift from forward to reverse on the drive, just not how to stop the PTO from running all the time, I have ordered my shop manual and it will be here next week.
My tach also appears to be a sick puppy, and since my hearing is weak, I want a tach, I assume these are mechanical cable driven tachs same as the JD rosa master pumped Hoes.

Look down by your feet for a little handle that pulls up and down for the PTO, sometimes they are there. I'm not sure which ones are there and other places. My 450c has the slot in the floor boards but not the control as it did not come with a PTO.

O.K., Lavoy advised he did not have the throttle cable, having one made at Inland truck parts, $90.00.
the tach has an interference problem, the needle is touching parts of the plastic around the face, I may seperate it and fix it myself.
I found the PTO shift, no wonder I couldnt see it from the seat, it is under the the air cleaner canister.
I fixed my winch, it works great.
