430 crawler loader in need of Rescue upstate NY!

Post by hwstem » Wed Mar 13, 2013 7:01 am

I was looking at a recently in JD 430 with. Loader at the yard near our cabin in upstate NY. I had to many projects and was buying another that day. I would hate to see this one just sit around. The scale man told me the drove it off the trailer, (this was about a year ago) it has original paint, left side cracked track frame and a worn undercarriage, the tin, dash and everything is nice. If interested please call troupscreek auto parts in troupsbirg NY. The owner dale will know what you are talking about if you inquire about it. They are a great yard and I hate to see this machine go to waste! I could text some pictures of it or email them if you would like it.

Its a 420, he wants 3g's for it. He said trans filled up with water just needs to be cleaned out. I asked for more photos close up, still whating. If anyone is going to pay to much for crawler I'm sure it will be me!

Filled up with water, just needs to be cleaned out.To be sure rust isn't
going to cause problems down the road the trans should come apart.
Th power shaft has two needle type roller bearings and the input shaft does as well.Rust on either shaft in these areas needs to be addressed
and is difficult to detect just by looking at a drained case.Pull the shifter
cover off if you can and see how much rust is on the gears, preferably
before you decide to buy.Luck,JimAnderson
