Time to remove the Boom from the 450c

I bought this nice pipe layer last fall but am only now finding time to remove the boom. Three large hoses connecting the valve body for the boom. Two are easy but the third has me confused. It goes down out of sight so I will have to wait until I get it a bit more taken apart to see where it goes. Any clues?

My guess is it is the hydraulic return (to the tank that your pump draws from).

After thinking this over a bit here is my best guess. I think that the pressure hose from the pump goes into one end of the valve block for the boom.(hose 1). Then, out from the other side of the boom valve body, a hose goes into the valve body for the dozer. ( hose 2 ). A third hose comes out of the side of the boom valve body and does connect to the return line going into the tank. So, I am assuming that the pressure from the pump just flows straight through the Boom valve body on the way to the dozer valves. Can anyone confirm this ?

As a joke (not meaning to offend).

I thought the best way to remove the boom was to not light the fuse...............
