440 group photo

Post by wizner85 » Mon Sep 23, 2013 8:27 am

Dad came up to visit, so we decided to get all the 440's running at one time for a photo shoot.
Can't believe it all started with a 420 loader 2 years ago, and now I have
3 440 diesels with 831 loaders
1 440 diesel with 64 blade
1 440 diesel with outside blade
1 420 with 62, hydaulic track adjuster, 5 roller, and complete 3 pt
And a whole load of parts, and other items I am trying to sell to keep the hobby fully funded.
Completely rebuilding the 420 w/ 62 blade (way in the back wihtout the hood), and 440 with 64 blade this winter... But we'll see how that goes.
All neighbors, and passerbys call me the crazy guy with all the crawlers. Guess I have been bitten by the bug at this point. Yes, I am still married, and yes, she thinks I am crazy as well.
But there is nothing more fun for me than getting on a dozer after a bad day of work and pushing some dirt to relieve the stress.
Trying to sell a loader and the outside blade at the moment, since I really have no use for them any more.
Not sure if the link worked or not. Let me know! - Andrew

Agreed.... It sounds like you enjoy working on them too - a good mix.
My wife says no more than two machines at a time; she remembers the "bad old days" when I'd work them during the day and then have to fix them at night.

Nice looking collection.

At least they look pretty good and I know what you mean about releaving stress from work my wife and family thought I was crazy and had to many until I bought a plow off a guy in ILL. and went to pick it up and he had about 15 to 20 nice crawlers in a barn and they said I didn't have a good start yet. Lucky for me the wife is really good about it
