Well here is some pictures. of my project. The pictures of the crawler in the woods is where it was at when the owner finally agreed to trade it to me in the year 2000 When I first saw it about 1975 My Dad had done some field repairs just to keep it running to finish a pond the first owner was digging, with the intention of finishing the correct repairs later. At that time I tried to buy it from him, he did not want to sell it, he was leaving it to his grankids. It was sitting along a fence in a hay field. I went back a number of times and through two more different owners and the last owner said he would not sell it but he would trade for a decent boat, no problem there, I just happened to own a few at that time, and we had a deal. After sitting for 13 yrs on a trailer I finally have the budget to do a total rebuild, I do plan to restore it as close to original as possible, because I plan to use it and show it at some local shows. I will be posting more pictures and videos soon. I plan use a blade off of my 1952 MC.

The story on the trailer was my Dad loaned me the trailer to go get the crawler, he had built it by himself in his spare time one summer. Once I got it to his house in the country, he ask me to leave on the trailer till I was ready to start the rebuild. Every time I ask about taking the crawler off , he said just leave it on the trailer because if it was not on there everybody wanted to borrow the trailer and he would have to go get the trailer to use it, so it stayed on there until now. he built it in his early 70s and died 3 days before his 80th birthday.

That's great that you finally got it. 3 roller 40 is the first crawler I ever did, came home in in about 20 pieces, but we got it all back together.

Thanks Lavoy. My brother corrected me, he said my Dad built the trailer after he retired when was in his 60s. If I would have just done the math. Later
