Only have the lift cylinder hooked up because we painted it literally 2hrs before we put it on. the dozer still has the toolboxes to go on and a few other little htings like the belly pans touch it up in a couple of spots

I just have to wonder how well it will push dirt with the dozer blade and basically street tracks. Those tracks are more designed for a loader and turning all the time versus digging with the dozer. Of course I am assuming you try to work it.

Assuming you used the John Deere "Old Construction Yellow" paint, how many gallons did it take you. I think it took me roughly 5 gallons. That yellow sure doesn't go far.

What is the larger tube sticking out the underneath of the machine. I assume the small one is from the air box vent.
Are you running the original electric oil pressure gauge for a diesel. They're impossible to find.

Where running a napa one but it wont let enough amps through to charge with lights in my opinion but we havent ran it the larger tube it the drain for our slobber tank so it dont make a mess

You must elaborate more on this "slobber tank" because mine slobbers like a 1 year old cutting teeth sometimes. It's odd, sometimes I can run it an hour or so and get no slobber. I noticed the other day my dad ran it and there was some slobber. I'm thinking he probably was babying it, running low RPMs, and that may be why.
Where is the tank mounted, how is it connected, etc. etc.

Hi,

The ammeter won't be the reason you aren't getting enough current to balance the load of the lights. That will be the generator not making enough current. And, that will be a weak field either from the regulator or within the generator itself.

Of course, how much running will you be doing with the lights on?

My 420c generator is weak, too. It has just about enough for two lights, not enough for three, even at high RPM. So, I disconnected the dim rear as it is unnecessary and so it only burns the two front lights in the 'D' position as a result. Still, it is rare that I ever need any lights, so the weakness doesn't matter much.

Now, when I lived up North and had snow to plow, lights were used quite often. Here, not so much. Pretty much never, actually.

Probaly wont use the lights much at all the tank is just to keep it from dripping i dont have any pics but we made it so you can drain it every so often.

I just got one with a loader, three point hitch and reverser but unfortunately it is a gas. It's original and rough but all there. Does run and work good, but rear hubs are loose. Most likely going to have to glue them on with deacon, but not until I fix the brakes.

Never seen a diesel one around here.

Planning on using it for snow removal as my new acerage has a paved driveway. Not this winter, have other projects already slated for this winter.

Wow! You've done what I would love to do some day with my 450B. Awesome job! One question though; would it be worth it to bead blast and powder coat the parts versus any other spray method...assuming one had a large bake oven available?
