need 555 transmission oil pressure gauge

Post by wjptcs » Mon Aug 03, 2009 8:17 am

I am trying to find a replacement gauge for my 555. Can anyone recommend a location to get one of these.

I am also needing the transmission oil filter which is under the seat.

The gauge can be replaced with a good quality manual oil pressure gauge with o- 200 #pressure readings. You can find one of these units at any car parts store but don't take the first cheap gauge you find .Deeres standard Transmission pressure gauge is not the most accurate one going I feel. It's John Deere part # is AT47133these don't tell you much but if you are running in the red yellow or green hopefully you are in the green .As for the transmission oil filter element #AR75601 this is an early # so it could supersede to something else as my book is an old one .Digitup.

Thanks for the info. The filter seems easy enough to get. I will keep looking for a transmission oil pressure gauge.

Got a new number for the gauge from my local JD dealer. They cannot get it because its on the industrial side. The part number is AT360871.

I am still looking for a gauge that will work from my local auto store as well.

Hi WJ-

Not sure what side of MO you are on, but Murphy Tractor in KC is an industrial dealer; they also have a location in Springfield.

I deal with their KC location and they are fairly knowledgeable about industrial parts- unfortunately their prices reflect it.

Thanks for the tip Tigerhaze. I am 60 miles south of KC. I have actually already asked them and its not a part they can get.

I will keep looking :)

Sorry Murphy Tractor didn't work for you- they have been pretty good about finding industrial parts for me.

You may want to call Zimmerman Tractor in Versailles- they are a crawler boneyard but not sure if they have a 555. Their website says they do:

FYI, it sounds like you are pretty close to the farm where my crawler is at- I am just north and east of Butler in Bates Co. :D
