Substitute for 303 fluid?

Post by NickC » Thu Oct 29, 2009 7:50 pm

Time to change fluids in the 350. Can I substitute the 303 (now Hy-Gard) fluid for some other 20w trans/hydraulic oil? Also, any thoughts on using 15w40 multi-vis engine oil in place of the manual's recommended straight-weight 30?
As always,
Nick

Thanks, Digitup
I've read that AW32 is a 10w oil, but I'm the student here. Do you put it in the trans also?

303 is now HyGard, Deere will have it on the shelf. I would switch to the 15W-40, yes.
