350 C Reversor Questions

Post by donnaldp46 » Sun Jun 06, 2010 7:37 pm

I rebuilt the reversor because the bearing between the spider and clutch shaft burnt up and seized. I have it back in and here are my questions:
!. When you shift from forward to reverse, the reversor gives out a squeal and is noisier than when it is in forward. Is this normal?
2.When I check the clutch pressure from the top of the direction selector, I get 150 psi for both foward and reverse, but 50 psi in neutral. Is this normal?
3. The lube oil pressure is 25 psi. The oil pressure in the line to the oil cooler is 100 psi.
4. I adjusted the regulator valve so the pressure pattern when you shift from forwrd to reverse is simular to the one in the service manual.
5. My 2 BIG worries are the noise, because it is simular to what it did before it failed, and the oil pressure when it is in neutral.
All HELP will be greatly appreciated !!! Thank YOU :D
