source for air precleaner assembly for 450C dozer?

Post by DBCSteve » Sun Jan 30, 2011 7:20 pm

Now that I'm almost done with my 450C rebuild (and yep, got that rebuilt injection pump in yesterday and working just fine), I am looking to install an air precleaner assembly by the time the dust starts to fly in June. I think the OD of the intake is 2-1/2 inches but not sure what the cfm requirements are for the 4219 turbo engine.

Anyone got suggestions where to find a precleaner assembly on line? Just looking for the regular dust bowl setup, not the new Donaldson topspin model (unless you think it is worth the extra cost).

Thanks much. I traded emails with Rick at Airflo and he said the 4219 engine has a 135 cfm requirement, making this prefilter more than adequate. Thanks again, JT.
