My 1974 - 350B has a dipstick for the direction reverser that does not seem to be the correct dipstick. It does not thread into the hole, but the threads on the dipstick drop right into the hole. However, the knob on top seems to match the diameter of the housing... My main concern is the length of the dipstick.
Could someone please measure their direction reverser dipstick and give me some info? I would like to know the overall length of the dipstick and the distance from the top of the threads (at the top next to the knob) to the add and full marks.
Also is the dipstick supposed to thread into the hole?
Does anyone have a dipstick for a 350B direction reverser for sale?
Thanks in advance!

My dipstick is exactly the same. Loose in the hole. I also have the 350b and I think that the threads are stripped on the hole. I drained my reverser and filled it with the exact amount as recommended in the tech manual and it has the correct dipstick. My crawler is 2 hours away so I cannot give you the measurement at this time. I will measure my dipstick next weekend for you if it has not been posted here by then.

D.Light I measured mine today, its a 1973B, the overall length is 11 1/4 inches, from the top of the treads where it seals down to the center of the hole for the full mark is 8 1/8 inches and from top of treads to bottom of stick is 10 3/4, mine does not have an add mark only a hole in it for the fill mark. Hope this helps and I didnt confuse you
