350 reverser

Post by scremineagle » Sun Dec 09, 2012 7:55 am

Last winter with foroms help I replaced seal in reverser. Now after one seasons use I seem to have another reverser issue. Seems to work ok until it gets warm then does not want to move machine. If I use manual tranny to backup then moves machine. Thinking it must be a pressure problem but not sure. Is there a cooler for fluid in reverser? Also am I hurting anything by just using manual tranny instead of reverser? Thanks

You really need to resolve why your reverser doesn't want to function in reverse. I assume you have checked your fluid level in the reverser? Make sure you have the proper amount of fluid in the reverser and then I would have the pressures checked to see what is going on. Yes, there is a cooler for the reverser. Should be two lines leading up from the left side of the reverser to the bottom of the radiator.
