Self Leveler

Post by 77 Ford » Wed Jan 02, 2013 7:58 am

My self leveler on my 450c was broken the day I got it. The tube the rod slid thru was broken and just moved back and forth with the bent push rod. However the loader control arm would lock over like it was trying to hold in waiting from a signal from the switch that never came.

Fast forward to yesterday, I fixed the push rod, tube and the switch but now I notice the control arm will not lock over so I can't tell if it's fixed yet or not. Anyone have any experience on why the control lever might not be locking over?

Hope that makes sense.

Check your wiring and make sure you don't have the solenoid on the valve activated. If it is in the "on" position, it will not allow your lever to lock over. Your lever should lock over and then when the rod trips the switch it turns the solenoid on and it will force the lever back to the neutral position.
