3 cyl diesel engine value?

I have a spare diesel engine from a straight 350. I have never heard it run, was told it ran good before the dozer was tore down. Complete engine except for the injector pump and fuel pump. Any idea what a fair value would be?

A little over a year ago, I bought a 3179 diesel out of a 350D and gave 750 bucks for it at auction. It had been misdiagnosed as being locked up. All that was wrong with it was the starter was hung in the flywheel ring gear!:D Bully for me! However, I would think that for one that is running it should bring around twice that amount. Or about 1500 bucks. So... Sense yours has the Pumps missing, you will have to consider this as a non running engine. That's my personal opinion... But, if it is a good engine, then around a 1000 dollars is what I would want to get out of one.
Look at it this way... Price it high, you can always come down on a price. Look on E-bay and on the internet in general and see what they are bringing.
Some of these other guys may have a better idea than I do. Hopefully they will share what they know as well. Good luck!!

Leonard, Thanks for your input. I've been looking on ebay with no luck. I'll get it pulled out and get some pictures posted in a few days. Maybe someone will be interested. I have a winch and log arch i'm thinking of parting with also.
