Final drive oil or "hydraulic" ?

Post by dillon45 » Mon Oct 21, 2013 4:37 pm

On a 450 B regarding the final drives, the operators manual say's to drain
and flush w/ diesel fuel than refill with 303 oil.

I assume they are speaking of "Hydraulic fluid" is this correct ?
The same is mentioned for the transmission as well, excluding the
flushing with diesel.

I don't want to make a mistake and put the wrong fluids in, so I
figured I should ask. I know this sounds like a dumb question but
this is my first J.D. dozer and don't want to make any mistakes.

Also is there a good place online to purchase all the filters needed ?
