JD 350b oil pouring out
Oil is pouring out between the engine and reverser assembly and the machine quit moving, I know I have to take the engine out, does anyone know what to look for in the reverser ? Do I have to take it out as well ? Thanks guys
Look it over carefully before you take it apart.
Reverser has cooling lines that go to the rad, you might have broke one open and lost so much fluid that it won't work??? Where exactly is the fluid coming from? How clean is your 350b ? You might want to give it a good wash before you start, I would remove the belly pan and floor plates then go at it with pressure washer if needed. Then, you will see where the oil is coming from.

all that stuff is off, i had the engine out, replaced it and the oil is puoring from between the reverser and the engine, i can see all the cooling lines, it ran all te fluid out of the reverser, to the point it wont mave anymore, which leads me to believe its the reverser ..is there a seal behind that plate that the shaft sticks thru? or is it gonna be a little harder than that?
350 tranny leaking
Hi I think you called me yesterday but I had poor reception, when you look at the reverser with motor out there is a seal on the reverser input shaft. You can see the seal before you pull the cover. pull the 4 bolts on the small cover ""which is the the reverser pump"" remove and you can replace the seal. Its like $10-$12 hopefully that's it, Good luck, Mark.

hey your welcome, but pay attention to what MATTE said, the pilot bearing is behind the isolator in the center of the flywheel check that dearing against the end of the reverser input shaft make sure it is snug and also turns well and also snug in the flywheel end. good luck,Mark.
