350-B injector source?
350-B injector source?
I believe I have an issue with one (or more) of my injectors. Will somebody please point me to a source where I can get a price to determine if I should just replace them outright? Lavon?
Thanks all!
Thanks all!

I can get them, not 100% sure on price, but less than $100/each I'm pretty sure.

Thank you Lavoy. I have a miss. As far as I know (which isn't much) I can't think of anything else that would cause this in a diesel. I suppose the injection timing could be an issue. I haven't yet read how set the timing on a pump but I haven't taken off any covers yet. I suppose I could take the injectors out and have them serviced but I really don't need to have the downtime. Can you get me a price plus shipping to 36003? I'll need all three.
Thanks,
Glen

Air leaks will cause skipping too. They can be caused at the filters, various connections, or by a crack in a line. Others will share their thoughts too. Good luck finding the cause of the skipping. paulI have a miss.

I was wrong, $100/each for new injectors, $75/exchange for rebuilt.
There are new ones on eBay for $38 give or take, no sense buying from me at over double.

Out of curiousity, are there different aftermarket manufcturers for the injectors? I was wondering if it were a situation like the glow plugs where the ones produced by May are inferior to the ones produced by Wellman.

I would bet that there are different manufacturers, but don't know it for a fact. If so, that would account for the huge price difference.

Thank you Lavoy for checking. I wonder where these cheap injectors come from...Lavoy wrote:I was wrong, $100/each for new injectors, $75/exchange for rebuilt.

I can't speak to the injectors, but with the glow plugs the bad ones (May) were made in China and the better ones (Wellmans) were made in Britain. The ironic thing about that from my understanding is that Deere is supplying the Chinese ones.GRWeldon wrote: [I wonder where these cheap injectors come from...
