straight 350 steering clutch pressure plate return clip.

ok I removed these clips to adjust the clutch and now they cant go back on because there isn't enough space between the bolt head and lock nut. what am I doing wrong.

Throw them in the garbage, then you have plenty of clearance. :lol:

did you put new clutches in? if you are adjusting for wear the gap would get bigger not smaller :? :?

Yes, didn't catch that, the gap should be bigger. You were adjusting the levers down (closer to the pressure plate frame) correct?

I am adjusting a new clutch and plate. when I get it adjusted with the tool the gap isn't big enough to get the clips back in. I ended up just grinding a little off the clips and pounding them in.
