350 steering clutch
350 steering clutch
My jd 350 steers perfectly on the concrete floor of my shop but not on dirt. It also seems to steer better outside in cold weather? What is going on?
could be the brake band even with the reverse steering, It might just catch a bit more in reverse if it is loose. You are going to need a manual. Available on line from Deere and indispensable if you are going to keep your Deere running. No worries you will still have questions to ask of the members here, but adjusting the clutches is a step by step process that requires a manual to get it correct. Not too difficult, (but we do not want to mess with Deere by printing copyrighted material on Lavoys site. !) I bought my manuals pdf then took the file to my printshop and had them print it out for me. All done and in a binder in a couple of days. No need to buy a parts manual, Deere provides it free on line, however it is print one page at a time. Owners manual is nice to have, explains how it works and, maintenance schedules etc.
